內(nèi)容簡介:In this thoughtful and uplifting portrait of a man devoted to serving others, Mollie Marti shares Judge Max Rosenn's spiritual and professional teachings, which led her along a path of self-discovery and infused her life with new meaning. Many law students and lawyers will be familiar with "giant of the law" Judge Max Rosenn, described by a colleague as "one of the greatest human beings I have ever known; a man of almost divine grace". Rosenn's opinions are more frequently cited than almost any other federal appellate court judge. The seventy law clerks who worked with him during his years on the court became extraordinarily devoted to him, establishing the annual "Max Rosenn Lecture Series in Law and Humanities" in his honour. Housed in the eulogies delivered by Judge's two sons and backed by stories based on the author's time spent with her mentor, twenty-five principles emerge that can be applied to conducting one's work with greater justice as well as living life intentionally. An emotionally rich recounting of Judge Rosenn's unique philosophy, this book illustrates how mentoring can truly be a two-way street and underscores that we write our own eulogy with the choices we make daily.
