內(nèi)容簡介: 編寫本書的緣由和主旨
科技類文章是雅思學術(shù)類閱讀考試中出現(xiàn)頻率最高的類型，也是考生閱讀的難點。北京語言大學出國留學人員培訓部對其雅思培訓班學員的一次閱讀模擬考試中的錯題做了統(tǒng)計，發(fā)現(xiàn)所錯的題大部分為科技類文章的題：在平均含15道題的科技類文章閱讀中，平均答對率為6.3題，僅有1/3的考生答對半數(shù)以上的題，最好的（2人）答對10題，最差的僅答對2題。說明科技類文章是雅思閱讀中的難點，也是阻礙考生取得閱讀好成績的瓶頸。
為此，我們編寫了《雅思科技文閱讀》，其主旨是：（1）通過總結(jié)雅思科技類文章的特點和閱讀難點，幫助考生掌握閱讀策略和解題方法；（2）選用題材及難度與真實考試相當?shù)奈恼拢⒕脑O(shè)計題目，為考生提供有效的實戰(zhàn)訓練；（3）讓考生通過學習本書來提高自身的語言基礎(chǔ)，特別是擴大學術(shù)和科技英語詞匯量。
