　　《上海工業(yè)化研究》一書(shū)系民國(guó)時(shí)期經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)家劉大鈞的代表作之一。全書(shū)基于1931年和1933年的上海工業(yè)調(diào)查數(shù)據(jù)，著重分析了上海地區(qū)工業(yè)發(fā)展的沿革、當(dāng)時(shí)狀態(tài)以及特點(diǎn)，分析了上海工業(yè)化發(fā)展的推動(dòng)力量，對(duì)上海工業(yè)的勞工及勞工組織進(jìn)行了詳細(xì)的描述，認(rèn)為上海工業(yè)資本少，規(guī)模小。除此之外，作者對(duì)工業(yè)化的經(jīng)濟(jì)社會(huì)影響也闡發(fā)了看法，認(rèn)為工業(yè)化導(dǎo)致人口流入增加，地價(jià)上漲，工業(yè)制品進(jìn)口逐漸減少、出口則逐漸增加；工業(yè)化不可避免地回帶來(lái)一定的社會(huì)問(wèn)題，諸如娼妓、貧民區(qū)等。

作者簡(jiǎn)介:　　劉大鈞（1891—1962），字季陶，號(hào)君謨，江蘇丹徒人，生于江蘇淮安。1911年赴美留學(xué)密西根大學(xué)，師從亞丹斯（H.C.Adams）及戴勒（F.M.Taylor）攻讀經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)與統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)，被選為美國(guó)大學(xué)高才生學(xué)會(huì)會(huì)員，1915年獲學(xué)士。1916年回國(guó)后任清華大學(xué)教授，1920任北京政府經(jīng)濟(jì)討論處調(diào)查主任。1928年任國(guó)民政府立法院統(tǒng)計(jì)處長(zhǎng)，1931年任主計(jì)處統(tǒng)計(jì)局局長(zhǎng)。1933年在上海執(zhí)會(huì)計(jì)師業(yè)務(wù)，兼中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)統(tǒng)計(jì)研究所所長(zhǎng)。1937年任軍事委員會(huì)國(guó)民經(jīng)濟(jì)研究所所長(zhǎng)。1941年兼任中央銀行經(jīng)濟(jì)研究處專門委員和重慶大學(xué)商學(xué)院院長(zhǎng)。1947年任關(guān)稅及貿(mào)易總協(xié)定起草委員，旋任國(guó)民政府經(jīng)濟(jì)部駐美商務(wù)參事。后移居美國(guó)，病逝于紐約。 1923年和1929年先后發(fā)起成立中國(guó)經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)社和中國(guó)統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)社，并擔(dān)任兩社的首任社長(zhǎng)。1927—1931年任太平洋國(guó)際學(xué)會(huì)中國(guó)研究干事。1929和1931年參加國(guó)際統(tǒng)計(jì)學(xué)會(huì)日本會(huì)議和西班牙會(huì)議。創(chuàng)辦和主編《中國(guó)評(píng)論周報(bào)》（The China Critic）（1928—1946）、《經(jīng)濟(jì)統(tǒng)計(jì)月志》（1934—1941）、《國(guó)民經(jīng)濟(jì)月刊》(1937)、《經(jīng)濟(jì)動(dòng)員》(1938—1940)。主編國(guó)民經(jīng)濟(jì)研究所工業(yè)化研究叢書(shū)。著作有《我國(guó)佃農(nóng)經(jīng)濟(jì)狀況》（1929）、《外人在華投資統(tǒng)》（1932）、《中國(guó)工業(yè)調(diào)查報(bào)告》（1937）、《吳興農(nóng)村經(jīng)濟(jì)》（1939）、《經(jīng)濟(jì)動(dòng)員與統(tǒng)制經(jīng)濟(jì)》（1939）、《非常時(shí)期貨幣問(wèn)題》（1940）、《上海工業(yè)化研究》（1940）、《工業(yè)化與中國(guó)工業(yè)建設(shè)》（1944）等，另有英文著作多本，如“China’s Industries and Finance，”1927;“ Foreign Investments in China，”1929：“China’s Cotton Industry，”(Co-author,Miss S.T.King) ；“Statistical Work In China，”“The1912 Census of China。”1931：“A Preliminary Report on Shanghai Industrialization,” “The Silk Reeling Industry In Shanghai,”China’s Economic Stabilization and Reconstruction,1948。
