Although the literary forms and language may not be quite so familiar, the same themes reappear in many of todays preoccupations with love and romance. This attractive collection combines a selection of translations from various languages of the best of Indian poetry with illustrations drawn from some of the finest examples of Indian art in the British Museum.
作者簡介:A.L. Dallapiccola is Honorary Professor at the University of Edinburgh and makes regular research visits to India. She is the author of South Indian Paintings as well as Hindu Visions of the Sacred and Hindu Myths.
