During the past twenty-nine years, she has taught a variety of primary grades and has worked as a reading recovery and Title 1 reading teacher specialist. She has been recognized twice in Who's Who Among America's Teachers and is the author of Designing Teacher Study Groups: A Guide for Success, Flip for Word Work, and the Spanish edition of Flip for Comprehension, Dar la Vuelta a la Comprensión. She holds a B.S. and an M. Ed.
